How does the Contacts sync work in Clio Manage?

Objective:

  • What is considered a source of truth in Clio and Office365/Google contacts sync?
  • When a contact is edited in Clio and Office365/Google, which copy will be kept?

Environment:

  • Clio Manage

Additional Information:

Contact copy from the third party application such as Office365 or Google is considered as the source of truth and that copy will sync to Clio.

Answer:

When a contact is updated in Office365/Google and then deleted in Clio, when they sync occurs between Clio and Office365/Google, the contact will be recreated in Clio (with updated values) as Office365/Google contacts are considered to be original copies.
